Panic attacks can affect people of all ages. This means that children also are not immune. Panic disorder is common and very treatable, even in children. The sooner you see the symptoms and get help, the easier time you will have treating this condition. Since children and adolescents often don’t understand what is happening with them, it’s your job as a parent or caregiver to keep an eye on them and try to recognize the signs of panic and panic attack.

Children with panic disorder will have sudden and unexpected periods of intense fear and discomfort. They can also have other symptoms such as a racing heartbeat or shortness of breath. Often these panic attacks will come without a reasonable known cause for the fear or the symptoms will remain longer than normal after a fearful event has occurred.

These periods can last from minutes to hours and they are commonly called panic attacks. They can happen with no warning, very quickly. Other symptoms may include intense fearfulness, a feeling that something terrible is going to happen, racing or pounding heartbeat, dizziness or lightheadedness, trembling or shaking, sense of unreality, fear of dying, fear of losing your mind, fear of losing control and more.

There are over 3 million Americans who suffer from panic disorder at some point in their lives so it’s no surprise that some of these people are children. When it’s not treated and recognized, panic disorder is devastating to a person. When this happens with a child it can have very serious concequences on their live and their future. This might affect their school work, relationships, growth and development, mood and even personality.

They might feel anxious all the time, even if they’re not having a panic attack. They may grow to be withdraw from places and people or fear certain things. They will try to avoid situations that they think will cause them panic. They may fight going to school or being separated from the parents. In some cases, children with panic disorder will try to self medicate with alcohol or drugs.

Panic disorder can be hard to diagnose in children. Parents may take children to the doctor repeatedly as the physician tries to determine the cause of physical symptoms, only to find there is nothing physically wrong.

Some parents don’t even make it as far as taking their child to the doctor for panic. They may feel the child’s fears are irrationally and childish or just a cry for attention. This leads to early symptoms of a childhood panic and anxiety being completely ignored. Unfortunately, this is why many children suffer alone with the condition which is completely treatable.

There are specific medications believed to be helpful with panic attacks in children as well as behavioral therapy, family therapy and self-help techniques that can be taught. A child with panic attacks can learn to deal with these symptoms at a young age so they do not have to suffer with them as an adult.

Acuvue color contacts are a great way to sharpen and enhance the look of your eyes.  Unlike traditional contacts, colored lenses are a great way to show off your contacts, with colors that are completely fun.  You can have a lot of fun with colored lenses – especially when you show them off to friends and family – who don’t know you have them.

All around the world, thousands and thousands of people wear colored lenses.  Contact lenses themselves are the best alternative to glasses, with color contacts for dark eyes being the next best thing.  Colors add flair and personality to contact lenses, giving people the chance to be different.  When you add color to your lenses – you are telling the world that you are different.

You can always find colored lenses that match what you are looking for no matter what color interests you.  There are hundreds of different styles available, from kids to adults.  You’ll also have several different manufacturers to choose from as well, which makes it easier than ever to get a pair of colored lenses that you can depend on.

Although there is a large popularity over colored lenses, there is also a group of individuals who feel that they may cause damage to the eyes.  Non prescription colored contacts work exactly the same as traditional contacts, and won’t damage your eyes as long as you clean them and take care of them.  If you clean them like you should and soak them in solution for a few hours when you take them out, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

Each and every colored contact has the color or design coded on the contact itself.  When you wear a pair of these lenses, it is actually the color that has been coded into the contact that projects the colored image everyone sees when they look in your eyes.  The color of the contact shines through, making it appear that your eyes are indeed the exact same color as your contacts.

Colored contacts work the same as other types of contacts.  You simply use your prescription for contacts and select the color you want.  If you are ordering them online, you’ll find hundreds and hundreds of different colors and images.  There are more colors and selections available online – making it the best way to invest in your contact lenses.

If you’ve been thinking about adding some flair to your colored non prescription contacts, you should look into getting a pair of “cat looking” lenses.  They will give you the vision you need, along with different colored “eyes” that can really mess with someone’s head.  Kids love them as well, as they give them the chance to express themselves.  From kids to adults – colored contact lenses are the ideal way to be different – and improve your vision at the same time.
