Acne has, over the years, been the cause of an incredible amount of heartache, especially amongst teenagers. However acne is not a disease restricted to just this age group as the problem can persist well into adulthood and even appear in adults who had note previously suffered from the affliction.
The vast majority of women are shocked to discover that they can suddenly develop acne during pregnancy. My husband was rather alarmed when pimples began to appear on my face as I had not even had spots during my teenage years. Perhaps this is your first search for an acne care treatment. You know nothing at all at where to start. You just know I need an acne care product of some type to help me get rid of the pizza face. A couple of things to consider is your type of acne, and its severity, and which type of product is for me.
One method in determining your acne type is to clean your face, dry it, then apply a sheet of toilet paper to your face. If it falls off quickly, you have a dry skin condition. At this point you have determined hopefully what type of acne, and its occurrences. Next on the agenda is the right acne treatment product for you. Your dermatologist will most likely have a suggestion. I am not in favor of antibiotics myself, but they may be necessary.
I used them at first but it did not help. Some external acne facial cleansing system will do the trick. There are many too. I have a hard time with safflower and sunflower oil, even virgin olive oil. I know, these are the healthier oils, but oil is oil. My best luck has been with canola oil, in moderation. The problem with these oily and greasy foods is that our body does not need a lot of oils and grease as it has to get rid of it.
This should be considered when thinking of an anti acne diet. Many believe,(and know) that the oils and grease from fast foods and other fried foods will add to the rising problems regarding the skin condition. The increase of it for me personally will cause a breakout every time. Remember, your skin needs to be able to breathe. Clogged pores can happen naturally, they don’t need our help. I have noticed by not touching my face alot has reduced the breakouts.
Good Things in a Anti Acne Diet
An anti acne diet should have high fiber fruits and vegetables to help ease the passage of the bowels. Irregular bowel movement encourages toxins to build in our body thus creating skin breakouts and blemishes. Natural grains are also great as sources of fiber. We need Water! Our body is made up of more than 90% water. So, keep yourself hydrated, it does help. Especially on those hot, humid days, which become a challenge to me.
